As Destiny’s Child once sang: “Ladies, I can’t do me without you / Ladies, you can’t do you without me / Ladies, you know I got you, I know you got me / So let’s do us.”
Thursday night, at the New York premiere of Kelly Rowland’s new Netflix film, Mea Culpa, Beyoncé lived by those words when she showed up for her bestie and former Destiny’s Child bandmate by attending the big event and promoting the project on Instagram.
Queen Bey shared photos on Instagram, writing, “Dats my best friend! Dats my best friend!!!!! So proud of you Kelly.” (A rare caption from the superstar, who usually shares her posts without any kind of corresponding note.)
For the event, Beyoncé wore a hypnotic black-and-white striped minidress from the Pre-Fall 2024 Balmain collection. The sharp-shouldered design featured cones on Bey’s breasts and a hood detail that draped all the way down her torso. Leaning into her new country era, the “Texas Hold ’Em” singer paired the dress with black and white mules, also from Balmain, that featured a western pattern and a golden heel, making us think they were pulled straight from the rodeo runway.
Finally, Beyoncé accessorized with a square leather Balmain bag that resembled a vintage radio, and she bundled up in a fuzzy black coat, which she wore on her way into the premiere (with a pair of sleek triangular sunglasses, too). The singer was accompanied by other members of her family, including mom Tina, cousin Angela, and husband Jay-Z.
