In 2019, Eddie Murphy gifted Netflix’s digital library with a biopic charting the rise of comic Rudy Ray Moore. Risking every little thing, Moore created Dolemite, a kung fu combating, flamboyant pimp who went on to turn out to be a cult phenomenon in Black cinema. Murphy stars, in fact, and he’s joined by funnymen together with Keegan-Michael Key, Mike Epps, and Craig Robinson.
